What: rend is a typeface created from twisted and distorted shapes.
Responsibilities: Conceptualized and created a working typeface with over 90 unique glyphs. Designed graphics displaying how the typeface can be used.
Goals: A beautiful working display typeface available for free in the public domain.
Design Process: rend was inspired by properties of the curvature tool within Adobe Illustrator. The intent for rend was a typeface where each letter is unusually and harshly formed while remaining elegant and organized. rend yearns to be unforgiving and unforgettable.
